　  Maersk line, said in order to reach the discharge standard of emission control areas, using the sulfur content of 0.1% significantly higher than the sulfur content of 1.0% the price of fuel. Based on current fuel prices, produced by using the new type fuel price difference will reach us $260 / ton, maersk line will be extra spending is expected to be $200 million a year. Maersk line, therefore, decided to transport in low sulphur emissions control area of cargo surcharge. In this way, will put in emission control area to provide shipping service to produce additional cost and benefit from these services customers to share.

       Maersk line, according to a low sulphur surcharge includes all the port of destination and port of shipment on emission control areas or after emissions control area of course. Low sulfur surcharge standard equally applicable to general cargo/freezing goods and to lift/return route. Surcharge standard will be based on changes in the cost of additional special routes to produce low sulfur fuel (mainly speed and emission control areas stay decision).

　  According to notice issued by the maersk line, the collection of low sulphur surcharge involved maersk line 21 route, a standard range of 30 ~ $160 / FEU. In addition, maersk line, said ship in the Baltic sea area use of low sulfur fuel will have additional cost, so the port of shipment or destination port is located in the Baltic region, namely, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, will be an additional charge of $100 / FEU.

　  Maersk line, said low sulfur surcharge standard will be revised quarterly, change will depend on the low sulphur fuel price fluctuations. That is to say, low sulphur fuel price volatility will affect the charge standard. In the first quarter of 2015 will be carried out at the end of the first amendment.
